The driver will pick you up at the hotel, we will cross Sicily over to the island’s capital and largest town. After a panoramic drive througj the city highlights including the largest Opera House in Italy and the shopping…in the main street, we visit the cathedral; San Giovanni church; the Martorana Church; the Quattro Canti (four corners) and the Fontana della Vergogna ( fountain of shame ).
In the afternoon we continue to Monreale to visit the Norman Cathedral covered with gold mosaics depicting the old and the new testamentes. Then we drive to Cefalù where we can visit the Norman cathedral with its Byzantine mosaics. We then walk down to the waterfront to visit the ancient laundry.
